This Disclaimer governs your use of the Vera prediction-markets data API ("Vera" or the "Service") and the Vera marketing website, both operated by Decentral Media Inc. ("Company," "we," "us"), the publisher of Crypto Briefing. It is incorporated into and forms part of the Vera Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.
1. Informational and Educational Purposes Only
All content provided by Vera and Crypto Briefing — including event records, market mappings, market-price snapshots, interpretive fields, and AI-assisted interpretations — is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, investment advice, trading advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset, contract, token, or position.
2. Not Investment Advice; No Fiduciary Relationship
Nothing in the Service is a solicitation, offer, or recommendation to enter into any transaction. Vera's interpretive fields — including, without limitation, relevance levels, news-effect direction, and the momentum tag — are descriptive characterizations of how a news event relates to prediction-market outcomes. They are not predictions, probabilities, expected returns, accuracy or win-rate claims, confidence levels, position sizes, or trading signals. The momentum tag describes whether a related market was observed to move within our measurement window; it does not indicate that any position would have been, or will be, profitable.
4. No Warranty; Accuracy and Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make AI-assisted and editorial judgments at speed and at scale, and those judgments may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. We do not warrant that any content is accurate, complete, current, reliable, or uninterrupted. Market data is sourced from third parties (including prediction-market venues such as Polymarket) and may be delayed, revised, or unavailable. The full limitation of warranties is set out in the Vera Terms of Service.
5. AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Content
Portions of the Service are produced by automated systems, including large language models. Such content may contain errors, omissions, or misclassifications and should be independently verified before being relied upon for any purpose.
6. Risk
Prediction markets and financial markets involve significant risk, including the risk of total loss. Past patterns are not indicative of future results. Prediction-market contracts may be illiquid, volatile, or subject to legal and regulatory restrictions that vary by jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of any market is lawful where you are located.
7. No Liability for Decisions
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any loss or damage arising from decisions made, or actions taken or not taken, in reliance on the Service. Your use of the Service is at your own risk and remains subject to the limitations of liability set out in the Vera Terms of Service.
